How AudioMe Works
Here is a step by step guide of how to download the app, play the app in different languages, unlock tours, and allow the app to use your location to deliver commentary based on your GPS location.
- Download the App from the App Store or Google Play
2. Open the app and select your prefered language
3. Select the city you’re in and choose a tour from the list. AudioMe Tours has walking, cycling, boat, bus, and driving tours.
4. Select the “purchase“ button to buy the tour OR enter an unlock code if you have one available. On iOS devices select “login to Download” if you have an unlock code. Unlock codes are provided by tour operator partners.
5. Download the tour: this will download the full tour onto your device so you can listen to the tour without using any data
6. Accept location permisions: This gives the app permission to use your locaation to trigger audio directly to your device when you reach points of interest. Select: “Allow While Using App.“
7. Allow background location access: This allows the app to play commentary even when your app is closed. Just select “Open Settings,“ select “Location,“ and select “Always.“
8. Notifications: sellect “Allow“ so AudioMe can alert you on next stops and points of interest.”
You are now ready!
As you drive, walk, or cycle the tour route audio will automatically play based on your real time location. If you want to listen to an audio sound bit again, just click on the location pin on the map and it will play for you.
To stop the tour from playing just close the app completly or select the 3 dots in the top right corner of the map, select the “X“ and press the “pause“ button.
